He has documented his successes and failures each step of every project. So he know what works and what doesn't. Restoring an old car is hard work. There's plenty of obstacles. And it's even harder when you're trying to raise a family and working a full-time job. He wonders how many sons and daughters like mine grew up watching (and sometimes helping) their fathers slowly bring an old car back to its original glory.
