Marty Schorr has been involved in the high-performance automotive hobby and industry since the mid-1950s, starting as publicity director of the Draggin’ Wheels Hot Rod Club in New York. First a photojournalist, then a magazine editor (Hi-Performance CARSCustom RodderSpeed & SupercarCHEVY ACTION, VETTE), he later published 20 books in the Quicksilver Supercar Series in the early-1980s. In 1987 he wrote Buick GNX: A Performance Legend in Its Own Time for GM.

Between 1967 and 1974, he co-founded the Baldwin-Motion brand and was involved with Joel Rosen launching and building brand new big-block Chevrolet & Corvette Super cars including the Phase III GT, Motion Minicar (high-performance VW street and racecars), Motion Supercar Club, and Phase III Publishing. For 18 years starting in 1982, his public relations agency, PMPR, Inc., represented Buick on the East Coast under a GM contract. Other clients have included GM, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Panoz, Piero Rivolta (Iso), Nicola Bulgari (BVLGARI) and MOTION, LLC.
